The Second Chance

THE SECOND CHANCE

Looking towards heaven I whine,

‘YOU’ have just not been kind

That lump in my throat as I dine,

Resentful thoughts choke my mind;

Scintillating stars shine teeth white,

Yet they fail to ignite any spark

Emptiness lay in this endless night,

Is there a ray beyond this dark?

“Maybe I didn’t need it at all”

“Maybe the dream was just whimsical”

I thought it could be real,

Turned out to be rather mystical

 

Don’t want to fight for it

Don’t want to be just another rebel,

Want to be back in my closed shell,

Cozy little place where ‘The Gods' dwell

‘Life’s just perfect’ inside this cocoon,

as I wait for the Breaking dawn

Time is ticking, well past noon,

as I slumber on a lush green lawn

Get me out of this wrap

 I’ve missed the beat,  I’ve ruined the dance,

“Time has passed, go have your nap,

You’ll have to wait, for maybe a second chance”

I want to Yell, I want to Scream; 

But all I can is hope, akin a game of dice;

Might be better to let go the dream; 

Opportunity seldom comes twice.

But won’t Give Up is what I Swore; 

Be it an arduous circumstance,

‘Knock ! Knock !’ then bangs on the door

Damn! I Hope it’s ‘The Second Chance’

The Infinity Of Horizon

The Infinity of HORIZON

Look what I see amidst the sea
An endless pot of calmness stirring the ocean

Rippling waves dying at my feet

Water and wind in a beautiful fusion

I’m seeing the sky meet the ocean, 
far away somewhere at the horizon

Gazing till darkness sets in the sky,
as I yearn for the lost Sun

Set on a mission, to find the lost sun,
here I run to reach the horizon,

Staring with his eyes devilish,
stands a big black demon

“I want the sunshine, Lemme go past you,
 for it’s my Sun”

His monstrous laugh petrifies me,
just one bang and I am knocked down

As I get up from the lowest ebb; 
I let out a huge roar

Got the courage to defy the demon
there now lies no fear

The Higher I rise,
expands the horizon more and more,

Big headed fiery demon,
now looks a miniscule score

Kill that demon of ‘inhibition’,
go chase your dream

Rise till you reach the Zenith 
and view a seamless Horizon

 Exists another beautiful world beyond,
that’s the power of the Supreme

Nothing restricts my dreams now, 

not even the Infinity of Horizon

Shun Your Ego

‘Shun Your Ego’

Lavish dreams with boots king size

dancing all ‘round sharing high fives

Soaring hopes beat mountain peaks

It’s what still keeps me alive

But nothing could beat me, nothing can harm

I am the one and you are none

Can’t go wrong, is all I think

I shall win, it’s all said and done

Construed mind thinks only one way

Just win it, come whichever way

Forgot the ethics, lost the way

Hurdles and bigger hurdles, now on my way

Had the talent, spirits were high; 

one thing still wasn’t yet right

My soul lost the battle, 

as my Ego slapped me tight

The battle maybe lost, the war is not

Resurrected conscience helps even the lost

Threw the ego out of my soul

For all the talent possessed, I shall never again boast

Renounced my ego, dumped six feet under
A Reincarnation it is, better late than never

Feeling free as a bird, have no inhibitions

I have got more wings, Can now fly higher

But burst again the darkness clouds

and began the sky to cry

Rekindled hopes slumped south

whispered in my ears, come’ on give it one more try

This ruthless world still vies

to grab your piece of humble pie

Let just your ego die, 

But you never never never say die
